Like many, my journey into the great outdoors began in an unexpected way—during the 2020 pandemic. After months of being stuck inside, I craved fresh air, movement, and a deeper connection with nature. That’s when I truly became a hiker. From the Appalachian Trail to South Mountain Reservation, from the Crystal Caves of Pennsylvania to Dingmans Falls, I set out to explore every trail I could find. Camping soon followed, along with trips to outdoor expos, RV shows, and adventure events like the GoPro Mountain Games in Colorado. What started as an escape quickly became a way of life—a way to recharge, reset, and reconnect.

That passion for the outdoors is what led me to create Oaktiv.
